Hello My name is Maureen Smith and I have been Showing, Breeding and Judging Shelties for over 30+ years and I have been awarded several Stud book numbers. I am a qualified obedience trainer and a member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers. Also I am a committee member of the Mid Western Shetland Sheepdog Club and the Clitheroe & District Kennel Association. I am a member of several breed clubs including; The Mid Western, The Scottish, The Yorkshire and The North Wales Shetland Sheepdog Clubs.

I have been married to Allan for nearly 50 years; he rarely attends dog shows but looks after the dogs and the house while I'm away at shows and is a great help with the walking and puppy training.

Following an illness my own Sheltie line came to an end and I had to start all over again. The late Sheila Martin let me have a quality bitch Shellthorn Mirage at Bramblecroft, Jazz to her friends. She has done very well in the show ring with many wins and qualifying for Crufts. Also she has breed three litters, with several of her puppies in the show ring and doing very well. Others are in family homes where they are loved by all members of the family.

Who we are

Bramblecroft Shetland Sheepdogs is a small kennel based near Garstang in Lancashire, Breeding quality dogs rather than quantity.

All our dogs live in our home and puppies are home reared and fully socialised, kind loving homes are what we are looking for when placing our puppies.

We do not sell show puppies but if you wish to show, our puppies are of top quality. All of our puppies have wonderful temperaments and make fabulous companions.

My puppies are eye tested at six weeks and breed to The Kennel Club breed standard and I am also a member of The Kennel Club Accredited Breeder Scheme.
